In the gallery of the Portuguese Screen Printing Center (CPS) at the Centro Cultural de Belém, the exhibition opens on November 9th, Wednesday at 7pm. strong> «Whiiims - Caprichos by Rico Sequeira», a contemporary approach to the famous engravings from Goya'sLos Caprichos series.

The engravings by the Spanish master correspond to a discovery made by the artist in his youth Rico Sequeira, who in 1977 settled in Madrid with the purpose of designing them, to now revisit them applying the chromatic virtues of screen printing and all his imagination. creative river. The result of this project is; a set of 16 silkscreens that make up the exhibition.

The title of the exhibition, an onomatopoeia that refers to the translation of “caprichos” in English (whims), accentuates the influence and taste for comics that led Rico Sequeira to create There is an important collection of boards that can be seen up until the end of the year.
