         Silva Palmeira (b. 1934) is You are the creator of an unmistakable style that is already popular. has its place in current Portuguese figuration and where the mastery of a grammar that translates the poetic and plastic synthesis of the real, on the border of the dream, of which it is a reality, expands. This work is once again a superb image: “Unusual corner of Lisbon” (2024). An edition of the Centro Portuguís de Seriografia that celebrates the artist's 90th birthday and reflects the love of the visible, characteristic of his expression.  The flow of time seems to stop here in a warm moment that captures all the mystery and charm of Lisbon, a city sung by poets, a scene of love and heartbreak, portraying an absence that evokes a well-known poem by Manuel Alegre. City lover lost in the somewhat Chiriquian solitude of this unusual corner and found in the sensuality of its light, in the purity of the lines and in the splendor of the forms that bring us back to paradise.
