The opening of the exhibition will take place take place on January 24th, at 6:30 pm, at the CPS headquarters (Rua dos Industriais, nº 6,  Lisbon).

Master Humberto Marçal, one of the exponents of contemporary graphic work in Portugal,  also since 1994, one of those largely responsible for the success of the engraving and lithography editions of the Portuguese Screen Printing Center. Today he presents us once again with his universe under the sign of the poetic dialogue with nature that inspires most of his creations. A poetics of the four elements highlighted by the immense richness of a palette that illuminates alchemical gold. In his work, the gesture associated with this rare sensitivity to nature color, reveals the intimacy and mystery of the earth, the secret germination of life, the forms manifesting a solar and vertical impetus that unites the destinies of man and the Cosmos, the ultimate meaning of creation. and its aesthetics.

In the words of art critic and poet Maria João Fernandes, in the Preface to this exhibition: “The paintings and engravings of Humberto Marçal are true poems eternalizing unique moments of a dialogue between sensitive souls, that of the artist and that of a complicit, equally dreamy nature.
