Born in Lisbon in 1954 and has lived in Brussels since 1996.

He attended the Law Course for 2 years at the Faculty of Law of Lisbon. His artistic training is in Lithography and Calcography courses at the Portuguese Engravers Cooperative, the Amadora Engravers Cooperative and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

He was awarded the following prizes: Honorable Mention for the National Visual Arts Competition, part of the Celebration of 600 Years of Portuguese Firefighters; Prix Artistique, 25th Salon International du Parc Maurice Rocheteau, Revin (France).
