Along with the Central Regional Directorate of Culture (DRCC), CPS was distinguished with the Partnership Award for the exhibition The Reality of the Imaginary (A Realidade do Imaginário) that took place simultaneously in seven museums in the central region of Portugal. The exhibit, curated by Maria João Fernandes with the artistic direction of Alexandra Silvano, celebrated 30 years of CPS and included around 200 artists.
The 2016 National Awards of Museology, in 26 categories, were announced at a ceremony that took place on 3rd June, at the Money Museum, in Lisbon. The awards have been presented by the Portuguese Association of Museology (APOM) since 1997. APOM celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
"It is an honour for CPS to be among many institutions that preserve our country’s memory and culture and a pleasant recognition of our role in the dissemination of art”, stated João Prates.
