A PLASTIC AND POETICAL SPACE
Claudio Tozzi, born in 1944, is part of a generation of avant-garde Brazilian artists with an international expression and who claim the right to be created. ncle to the tradition. His interdisciplinary training translates, in his case, into the studies of Philosophy, Sciences and Literature at the University of S. Paulo (1956-1962), which was followed by the Architecture and Urban Planning course at the same university . Like other international artists linked to the music industry, Pop Art and New Realism, Tozzi created his own vocabulary of signs inspired by everyday life, but to which he gave a new meaning, on a metaphorical and symbolic level. This work reflects the space-time tension emblematic of his creation, an abstract and geometric concept of space combined with a subtle combination of cold and warm, creating an imaginary perspective resulting from movements that are as rational as they are intuitive.
