AN INNOCENT AND MAGIC FIGURE The art of Mário Cesariny (1923- 2006), rightly considered one of the exponents of Portuguese Surrealism both for his poetry and his painting, is one of the most important examples of Portuguese Surrealism. It is very evident, with a touch of humor, in this dialogue between his sculpture (represented by multiples in two color variants) and the image he created for screen printing. A figure that is both innocent and magical, bringing together the symbolism of the sun, as a source of light, knowledge and life, and the triangle, emblem of the divinity of harmony and proportion.
