THE FANTASTIC OVERSIDE OF REALITY Vladimir Velickovic Serbian artist based in Paris where he teaches at the School of Fine Arts, internationally recognized as a notable name in 20th century art, has exhibited individually since 1963, in his country of origin and in some of the most prominent European galleries. His work can be inserted into a line of contemporary fantastic expressionism, catharsis of fears and ancestral ghosts. Neither Bosch, maker of fascinating and disturbing wonders, nor Goya or Bocklin and their visions of premonitory terror, nor their peers in modernity and disenchantment, such as Francis Bacon, reached so far and so far. deep in the portrait of the blackness of a human condition dispossessed of the original divine breath that rescues and transfigures it.
