The Lagos Cultural Center will welcome the Portuguese Screen Printing Center for the first time in the exhibition «Time Capsule: Editions of the Portuguese Screen Printing Center».< /p>

Opening on August 7th, the exhibition will be on display until the end of August. October 9, 2021 featuring around 90 works by 78 artists from 16 nationalities, created at the CPS throughout its 35 years of activity.

The exhibition reflects the creative potential of different graphic work techniques – screen printing, engraving, lithography – and the most recent appropriation of photography and digital printing in the vast portfolio of CPS editions.

The Portuguese Screen Printing Center, throughout its history, has been expanding the concept of contemporary art and integrating artists with established notoriety in the areas of painting, illustration and illustration into its editions. art, design, architecture, outsider art and urban art.

Among the wide range of artists on display are names such as Júlio Pomar, Noronha da Costa, José de Guimarães, Siza Vieira, Cruzeiro Seixas, Cargaleiro, Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils), Miguel Januário (aka maismenos), Cristina Ataíde, Leonel Moura and Sofia Areal.
