Marília Viegas

Born in Faro, in 1941. graduated from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa. She received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation while she was a student and is a Engraving researcher at Cooperativa Diferena. In 1979, he participated in the 1st. Biennale Der Europaischen Grafik Heidelberg and the 13th. Engraving Biennale Ljubljana In 1980 and 1984, he participated in the 8th. and 10.ª Biennale Internationale de la Gravure à; Cracovie. Of the individual and group exhibitions in which he participated, the following stand out: in 1990, the Engraving and Painting Exhibition at "Casa das Artes", in Tavira and the Engraving and Drawing Exhibition at " Recorders' Cooperative", Lisbon; in 1996 – EPAL Gallery “Mãe d’Água”, Lisbon; in 2000, at the José José Museum; Malhoa, Caldas da Rainha; in 1992, Gravura Portuguesa, Oxford, England. She was awarded and distinguished by several institutions.
