Margarida Cepêda

Born in Lisbon in 1959. She studied at Escola António Arroio and later at Belas Artes in Lisbon where she finished her course in 1983. She paints feminine polarity in a magical and “combat” With his works the suppression of figurative painting, he feels symbolism like no one else. She was the first artist to join the “Art for All” project, as she believes that it should be promoted without snobbery or elitism. The fundamental reference in painting is Leonardo da Vinci, but Georges de La Tour, Turner and Friedrich as landscape artists were strong influences, as well as Manet and a good part of the pre-Raphaelite painters, Blake, the Symbolists, Gustav Klimt , painting by Mucha, and sculpture by Rodin and Brancuzzi. He held several solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions.
