Manuela Crespo

Manuela Crespo, born in 1961 and is Born in Lisbon, he works as a neurologist at the SAMS hospital, but there is a lack of experience. He has been interested in Art for a long time, especially in its illustration and engraving version.

He began his artistic activity in 2000, attending the theoretical courses of “Introduction to Science” History of Art”, “History of Art of the 20th Century”, and “History of Portuguese Art” taught at the Portuguese Society of Fine Arts.

He took the drawing and color course at that institution, guided by the sculptor Quintino Sebastião (2002 to 2006). Attended the 1st; year of the SNBA painting course with Pintor Paiva Raposo (2007). He also took an illustration workshop with illustrator Richard Câmara at FBAUL (2008) and the illustration course at SNBA with illustrator Evelina Oliveira (2009).

Exhibits individually since 2004 and is author and illustrator of children's books such as “O Papão Papanjo” (Âmbar, 2008); “The ABC of names. Stories without legs or heads” (Verso da Kapa, 2008); “The Imagination” (Âmbar, 2009). 

Continuous training in Engraving at the "Contraprova" studio guided by Joanna Latka, Susana Romão, Daniella Crespi and Cristiana Fernandes since 2015.
