«To draw, I make it a condition that all marks made are visible and no corrections are made. I apply a system in which a first line prefigures the bottom line, and if any irregularities occur, it is corrected. transmitted on the next line. Similar processes occur in nature, so these later drawings connect with familiar patterns and shapes, such as surfaces, fabrics, fluids, orography, waves, etc. The basic idea for drawing is not; represent something, but activate a process. É This is similar to the automatic drawings we make unconsciously when we talk on the phone. A drawing like a musical improvisation, an automatic writing, a clear traffic to the present without correcting anything.

I see the matrix once finished with the size of the drawing already adjusted. invariable as Platonic “outside of time”. The idea froze. So the stamping processes would be the movement, the dynamic time that passes through the plate with its richness of life.»
