Born in Gulpilhares, Vila Nova de Gaia, in 1942. Completed the Complementary Painting Course at E.S.B.A.P. in 1968. It currently belongs to the Director of the National Society of Fine Arts. He held and participated in several exhibitions, standing out in the solo exhibitions: Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, prefaced by Eurico Gonçalves, Lisbon, 1985; Cooperativa Árvore, prefaced by SÍlvia Chicó, Dr. José Manuel Marques and a Poem by José Jorge Letria Porto, 1986.
