THE LESSON OF OBJECTS Marcello Nitsche (1942), painter, sculptor, engraver, teacher, graduated in drawing at the Escola de Belas Artes de S. Paulo (1969). Starting with engraving, the artist would later dedicate himself to engraving. painting and also to painting. installation. His interest in gesturalism led him to design a sculpture with the title “Three-Dimensional Brushstroke” (Parque da Luz, S. Paulo, 2000). In the present works, objects are a metaphor for the gestures and actions with which they are associated. Painting objects, brushes inside a glass, apparently prisoners, but to which the blue color of the container gives an unexpected freedom. Between containment and openness to the imagination, between the gesture suggested by the water (origin of life) freeing itself from a broken glass and the outline of a new language, once more blue, summarized If so for the artist, through the lesson of objects, the creative adventure that is protagonist.
