Critical notes
In Nuno Teotónio Pereira's photographs, worlds dialogue: the interior of the artist's experiences, evoked in his work office and self-portrait, and the exterior that reveals his poetry, his light and his beauty in the images of a river and of boats connoting evasion. This dialogue represents the abolition of borders, perfect osmosis, when the outside is seen from the inside of a room, and this is the metaphor for an entire universe that the library represents. As for the objects of the self-portrait, they are nothing more than icons, which in the game of presence and absence, light and shadow, reproduce the infinite symbolic exchanges between the body and space, at the origin of creation.
