Shapes of a Wonderful Cosmos Domingos Pinho, a notable artist from Porto where he was born in 1937 and at whose School of Fine Arts he was a Professor for around forty years, is He is also one of the most prominent names in art from the second half of the 20th century in Portugal. Fulfilling since the 1950s the vocation of painting as a deep and luminous breath of life, he works in the intimacy of a gaze complicit with silence, the enchantment of reality, alien to fashions and avant-garde, following only the paths dictated by his sensitivity as an artist, poet and investigator of the secrets of his art. In his current works for screen printing, "As Árvores Die Standing" and a tribute to Fernão Capelo Gaivota, his gaze and his brush capture the world with an acuteness of all awakened senses and at the same time with an openness to dreams and the treasures of the imagination, creating the form It is a function of the thought and fantasy that animates all the creatures of a wonderful Cosmos.
