About the exhibition, writes art critic Lourdes Alcobia, "It is along the rivers that life proliferates, that cities are born, that people cross paths and communication emerges. You can enjoy a peculiar beauty! The river evokes the myth of origins, water rituals, the sacralization of beauty!

É The sky is mirrored in the waters, reflecting the light that softens the lives of those who live in the polis and illuminates the paths of hope for them! Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra enjoy this privilege and are a paradigmatic example of this. Rivers and cities harmoniously build balance! (...)

Abreu Pessegueiro, an artist known for many years. With more than 50 years as a landscaper with an abstract tendency, he makes reference to atmospheres and peculiar architectural elements, always reflected in the calm surface of his rivers. (...) The dazzle by light, by diaphanous transparencies, by soft and veiled chromatic transitions, creates in our imagination, translucent atmospheres of the unreal."
