Open Door: Journey through the Creative Process

For the first time in 25 years, the Portuguese Screen Printing Center (CPS) presents at its Headquarters, on the 11th of May, at 6pm, the exhibition "Open Door: Journey through the Creative Process" which It shows how his silkscreen, engraving and lithography editions come into being and come to fruition, with the creation process being the protagonist. É This is an invitation to embark on a journey through the various methodologies used to create the works of art that artists create at Atelier CPS. Visitors will have access to “behind the scenes” which normally does not come to the public. É opening doors to the CPS backstage. Sequential proofs and color tests, acetates and screen printing frames, selected woodcut matrices, linoleum and engraving on metal, lithographic stones, together make up the roots of creating a unique experience. Many works by dozens of prestigious artists such as Cruzeiro Seixas, Malangatana, David de Almeida, Marçal, Helena Abreu, José Faria, Mónica Fuster, Alcántara, Xavier, Jan Voss or Harold Cohen and which can now be seen. This exhibition is complemented by the equally unprecedented opening of the Atelier CPS to the public, where visitors will have the opportunity to watch the exhibition. “live” of various Original Graphic Work processes, namely Screen Printing, Engraving and Lithography.
