Joseph Beuys

Nature's Difficulty

Dec. 13, 2001 - None
CPS Sede

This important exhibition by the influential German artist Joseph Beuys (1921 - 1986), was highlighted at Estampa 2001 in Madrid and included almost all of the editions by Baroness Lucrezia De Domizio Durini , carried out by the artist in Italy, during the last 15 years of his active life. The exhibition coincided with the 80th The anniversary of the birth of Joseph Beuys and to commemorate it, a poster for the exhibition was published by the CPS in a limited edition of 100 copies. Joseph Beuys was a visionary of all the social, economic, environmental, political and cultural problems that still afflict humanity today. Beuys did not create a method but, with generous humanism, he worked his entire life to improve existing methods and always with a single objective: the safeguarding of nature and the defense of human beings. "Difesa della Natura", although it expresses ecological concerns, focuses essentially on the anthropological sense: the defense of humanity, human values and creativity.
