Madalena Matoso

É illustrator. He has a degree in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in editorial graphic design from the University of Barcelona.

In 1999 he created Planeta Tangerina with three friends. Planeta Tangerina began as a content creation, illustration and graphic design studio and in 2004 began an editing project. The books created by Editora Planeta Tangerina have sought to explore new territories, question and challenge readers, and be written with freedom and extreme care.

 

He has been working on the illustration of several books, including When I was born, Over time, What is there, Clap Book, Boy Andersen's Dictionary, Mountains, Where do we go when we disappear? We all do everything, and Cá Inside, among others.

 

Received the National Illustration Award in 2008 and special mentions in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2014; Children's Book Illustration Award Amadora BD Festival in 2008 and 2011 and SPA Author Award/Children's Book in 2015.
