Isabel Cuadrado

Isabel Cuadrado was born in 1965, in Oviedo, Asturias, the city where she still lives today. She received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome and also obtained the MAE-AECI scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He was a resident artist at the Frans Maesreel Centrum, in Belgium. He was awarded several prizes, with emphasis on the XIII María de Salamanca National Engraving Prize.

Throughout his artistic career he participated in several international fairs, of which his visit to Feria Arte Oviedo stands out, in 2015 curated by Dulce Pérez and Emilio Suarez Lanzas and which brought together more than 100  Asturian artists.

His work is closely related to the exploration of line and trace. Mainly marked by the monochromatic tendency with which he approaches his compositions.

Your work is represented in several public collections as is This is the case of the National Library of Spain, the Galician Center for Contemporary Art (CGAC) and the Oviedo School of Art. And also in some private collections such as that of Jaime Rodriguez López, or Laura Gutiérrez González.
