Henrique Mourato

Painter, sculptor, draftsman and engraver, he was born in Santiago do Cacém in 1947. He attended Manuel Cargaleiro's Atelier. He held his first exhibition in 1967 in Almada. He took the Engraving Course at the National Cooperative of Engravers. He has exhibited individually and collectively since 1967, in Lisbon, Amadora, Barreiro, Nazaré, Sintra, Cadaval, Lourinhã, Setúbal, Sabugal, Moita, Portalegre, Região Autó ;noma da Madeira and in other locations. It has some awards and honorable mentions. Internationally, he has exhibited in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Japan and Brazil. You are represented in Public and Private bodies. Over the course of his 40-year artistic career, he illustrated more than 200 books. É Illustrator and contributor to many national and foreign newspapers and magazines, as well as online newspapers and blogs. Author of sets for theater plays and ballets. É author of a dozen outdoor sculptures in the Coimbra region and public tile panels spread across various parts of the country.
