Born in 1926, in Vila Verde de Ficalho, lower Alentejo. He collaborated in several exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. He was represented in exhibitions organized by the Estoril Casino Art Gallery, at the S. Bento Gallery (Lisbon), at the “Group Surrealist Exhibition (Ohio, USA) and at the international exhibition (“ Surrealism and Fantasy Painting”) organized by Mário Cesariny. In 1963 he dedicated himself to Mural painting and the study of tiles, he created tile panels for various entities in different regions of the country and also created cards for tapestries. He was represented at the “I International Tile Symposium” organized by Santos Simões, at F.C.G. and at the International Ceramics Exhibition at the “Victoria and Albert Museum” In London. He directed a play at Casa da Comédia, in Lisbon and collaborated in several theater shows in Porto, Cascais and Coimbra. He illustrated texts by Portuguese writers and poets. You are represented at the National Museum of Contemporary Art and in several national and foreign collections. He passed away in 1997.
