Born in Belgrade in 1961, Branislav Mihajlovic started drawing and painting very early and by the age of fifteen, he had already participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. He completed his studies in painting in 1986 at the Higher School of Fine Arts, University of Belgrade, and his master's degree in painting in 1989, at the same University.

He has already held more than sixty group and individual exhibitions in Yugoslavia, Italy, Poland, Holland, Germany, Spain and Portugal. He has received prizes in S. Paulo, New Delhi and Belgrade.

With a strong pictorial language due to its expressiveness, he frequently uses the technique of combining painting, using various materials outside the conventional scope of painting, such as poems, wood or books.

Branislav currently lives and works in Portugal.
