Bernardo Carvalho

Bernardo Carvalho was born in Lisbon in 1973. He attended the Faculty of Fine Arts in the same city.

He was one of the co-founders of Planeta Tangerina in 1999, where he works in the area of illustration

In 2008, with the book "Pê de Pai", he won an Honourable Mention in the Best Book Design Award from All Over the World promoted by the Book Art Foundation.

In 2009, he was one of the winners of the 2nd CJ Picture Book Awards (Korea), with the book "The Two Roads". In the same year, he won the National Prize for Illustration with the book "Fast, Slow".

Already in 2011, the album "The World in a Second" was distinguished as one of the best of the year by the Banco del Libro of Venezuela.

He has published works by Sarbacane, Planeta Tangerina and OQO.
