Alexandre Farto aka Vhils (1987), has developed a unique visual language based on an aesthetic of vandalism derived from his background in illegal graffiti. He works on the removal of surface layers of walls and other supports with unconventional tools and techniques, establishing symbolic reflections on living in the urban context, development, the passage of time and the interdependent relationship between people and their environment.

Since 2005 he has presented his work around the world in solo and group exhibitions, artistic events and site-specific interventions. He is represented in several public and private collections in various countries.

In 2015, as part of the 30th anniversary of CPS, he participated in the exhibition "1/81" at the Côa Museum, curated by Paulo Arraiano, for which he made the silkscreen "Dystopia" at the CPS Atelier.
